Ok, your bath is a place to rest and relax, but you might be surprised to learn that a good sweat brought on by a hot bath can burn as many calories as an outdoor stroll.
Researchers at Loughborough University found that participants burned 130 calories whilst enjoying a Soak - the same as a 30 minute walk.
Not only this but the participants had their blood sugar tested 24 hours after their time in the tub and this was found to be 10% lower than the blood sugar of other participants who had ridden a bike instead of bathing.
